In 1982, the triangular building at
North 10th and A (now known as 101 North 10th)
was
acquired from the
Electrical Workers Union, hence the current property
owners name of
Union Hall Investment Company. We hired
a local
contractor specializing in historical
renovations,
Phil White, who
helped us design the combination of residential
and commercial
spaces. During this period, we also acquired
the building
at
917
North A Street, which has been renovated
and now
operates as an entertainment club venue. |
|
In 1983 we acquired the church building
and adjacent
parking lot at the corner of North 10th
and B.
Shortly
after, the balance of the
block at the B St.
end was
acquired. This
became 115 North 10th. Thereafter,
we
petitioned the City to close
Short
Grand
&
Short Towson Streets. Those
properties
then
became our streets facilitating
additional
parking for
our tenants and business guests. |
|
A few years ago, we added the
Tower TV
property
and parking lot to our
holdings.
The only property on
the entire
block that we
don't own is the SW corner of North 9th
and A. |
